Reviews from Tiger Direct:
Excellent performance at a great price. I would have preferred XP over
VISTA, but the system works very well. The video is excellent.
This is a great product and good value. Excellent performance. The only
issue is that it comes with Norton security (free only for 60 days),
which is quite a hog on the system. I hope I will be able to disable it
and switch to AVG, which I prefer. Other than that, no problem so far.
I purchased the laptop three weeks ago and both my wife and I are very
pleased. The system has a bright clear screen and provides all of the
features that we need. I use the Web cam with Skype to converse with
clients and family members. The video is clean and sharp. First time
buyer of Gateway. I have purchased a great deal of HP and I like the
Gateway better.
It seems to be a good product. I want to get Norton Security off] but I can’t it to go away.
Also, I paid for and downloaded a year of service
with AVG 8.5 last night but it disappeared without a trace. That’s bad I’m afraid. And upsetting.
Any help on that?
Worked well right out of the box - about 3 to 4 hours to transfer
programs and data after configuring Vista. It’s been reliable, no
glitches, and it’s a lot faster than I expected. It exceeds my
expectations …
